My sisters and I organised my mum’s funeral service last year. While we all agreed that we wanted to give my mum a good send off, the three of us found it hard to choose how to run the service. We all share many of the same memories; however, we also had some different ideas on things to put in the service. For example, my mum loved music, but we couldn’t agree on the hymns or songs to play. The funeral home we chose was really good at helping us understand how the service could run and how we could reach compromises to create the right atmosphere. They gave us some good advice, and I started this site to share some of their ideas and tips to help anyone else who is finding it hard to create a service for a loved one.
